January 12, 2018
Every January, more than 170,000 people and 4,000 exhibiting companies flock to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas hoping to be a part of the future of tech. This year, Adorama teamed up with RIZKNOWS to cover the event and unearth some of the biggest trends and most noteworthy products. Here’s what you need to know:
Despite a noticeable decline in the number of wearable companies at CES, health and fitness remains a very popular category for new products.
Peloton has an incredibly popular stationary bicycle and fitness platform. At CES 2018, however, they unveiled their first treadmill product called Peloton Tread. It features a 32″ display that will show 10+ classes streamed live from their NYC studio. Users will have access to all sorts of personal data and will be able to compete directly with others during live classes.
Garmin Forerunner 645
We also found the Garmin Forerunner 645 GPS running watch to be a standout product in the health and fitness space. It’s Garmin’s first wearable ever to feature music storage. Users will be able to pair Bluetooth headphones and stream music directly from the watch. The FR645 can store up to 500 songs and in the future Garmin will have partnerships with select streaming services for offline listening.
The ZEEQ Smart Pillow has been out for quite some time now, but at CES 2018, we saw several new models. The original design is Bluetooth equipped to play your music, track your sleep, and even wake you up when you’re snoring. Now REM-Fit has released a variety of one-trick smart pillows at a lower price point. So if you want your pillow to play music, but aren’t interested in the other features, you don’t have to pay for what you won’t use. These new REM-Fit smart pillows can also connect to WiFi, so you can access your sleep information from wherever.
JBL Endurance Dive
Rounding out our health and fitness category is the JBL Endurance Dive, wireless, waterproof, in-ear headphones designed specifically for swimmers. The headphones have 1GB of onboard storage with a capacity of around 200 songs.
